Faith Compromised

Picture it... an office place...sometime in the past, everyone knows that you are a Christian.  They often come to you and ask you for a prayer when they are going through a troubling period, or even to bless the food in a company gathering.  From your necklace to your number sticker, there is no question that you are a Believer in Jesus Christ.

But this one day, you are asked to compromise your faith and put it to the side for the benefit of the organization.  A very high up executive says to you "Put your beliefs to the side, it is for the greater good of the group!  I know you are a "Christian" but this is work, I am sure God will understand. " What do you do?  Do you put down your torch and put aside all the love and faith you have in your Lord, or do you stand up and say enough is enough.

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven

In Matthew we see that it is our responsibility to stand firm in our faith and profess to all who ask that we are Believers.  It is especially important that we do not deny Christ in any situation, for He will deny us in Heaven.  So when you are faced with a scenario that may mean you find yourself turned away or shunned by man...remember you are being lifted up and protected by the Lord.

And friends...that is all that is important
