Making the Move

When deep down in your spirit you know that you are no longer suppose to be in a place, or with a person, or participating in an activity, its time to move on.  We know that in every fiber of our being.  Take the risk, do the next greatest thing, find your true better half.
But why do we stay?  Why do we stay pinned to the one thing God is telling us in our spirit to flee?

It is simply the fear of the unknown.  The uncharted territory.  Recently I was blessed to participate in Woman Thou Art Loosed 2012 in Atlanta.  During the first night of the conference Bishop T.D. Jakes spoke about following our PECKing orders.  The Monday following the convention thousands of women from around the world watched Facebook with baited breath to find out how we would POSTION and EXPOSE ourselves while having the COURAGE and KNOWLEDGE to move into our destiny.  For 52 days we followed the teachings.  Each morning I would wake up, and before I put my feet to the ground I would read..

Day 16 really touched my heart:

“When faced with significant opportunities, you might become fearful of bringing your past into your present. Take COURAGE in God POSITIONING you; God EXPOSING you; and God granting you His KNOWLEDGE! He would not have prepared you and brought you this far if He planned on destroying you or allowing new opportunities to overwhelm you. He’s given you your PECKING ORDERS because He knows you can handle them and carry them out! Continue pecking your way out!!!” – Bishop T.D. Jakes

So now that the days are over, I find myself once again, sitting down trying to grapple with pending changes.  Though I am not fearful of the change anymore, I do find that preparing myself, or positioning myself correctly for the next season in my life to be something I have been reflecting on.    If you find yourself in this same place, between today and forever, I challenge you to read Jeremiah 29:11.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (NIV)

Meditate on those words and know that God has got a plan bigger than you can have for yourself, and if He has made the plan, then you can move knowing that He has the roadmap all laid out!
